Alison Gartner is the co-founder and CFO of Evidentli, an Australian Start-up whose technology can analyse complex health care data to guide clinicians in their practice.
This is a holy grail in healthcare data because we are now generating more data than ever, and we don’t tap into the full potential of these so called “data lakes” due to the difficulty of standardising, cleaning and linking different data sets to produce actual actionable insights.
And then who owns the data? With Evidentli, there is no exchange of data, the medical centre will use their own data and question it in their own way.
There are companies doing some of this out there, but there is a big need for a fast reliable and robust technology, that can be used by the clinicians themselves, with adaptable parameters to tweak questions to reflect real clinical scenario.
Alison has unique perspective because she has both experience as a co-founder and has an investment manager! So she has seen it all before and now it is unravelling for her. Awesome Multiple Hats insights there.
